Analysis by Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry and Atomic Absorption

Analysis by Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry

  1. Search for xenobiotics in food samples. Analysis of other contaminants in food and in domestic and industrial products (community and hospitals)
  2. Drug monitoring - Monitoring of patients intoxicated with drugs and/or illicit substances (hospitals)
  3. Analysis of the aromatic profile of foods and industrial products (Cork, wines, cosmetics, animal feed, plant extracts) (companies)
  4. Characterization of drugs of abuse in biological and non-biological material. Determination of alcohol level. (hospitals and community)
  5. Pesticide measurement in environmental and biological samples (e.g. paraquat, propoxur, chlorpyrifos) (hospitals and community)

Analysis by Atomic Absorption

  1. Analysis by Atomic Absorption (requested by hospitals)
  2. Measurement of metals in biological samples, namely copper and iron in liver biopsy fragments for the unequivocal characterization and monitoring of Wilson's disease and hemochromatosis, respectively.
  3. Measurement of various metals in biological samples

Other analysis
