PTNMR coordinated by Eurico Cabrita was recommended to integrate the National Roadmap of Research Infrastructures
In the recent FCT call for the National Roadmap for Research Infrastructures the Portuguese Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Network (PTNMR) coordinated by Prof. Eurico Cabrita was recommended to integrate the National Roadmap of Research Infrastructures and was classified as Category 1 - by having demonstrated high scientific potential and being considered to have high strategic regional and/or national relevance.
Eurico Cabrita appointed to represent Portugal on COST Action CM1306
Eurico Cabrita, head of the Bio-NMR Spectroscopy and Porfessor at the Chemistry Department -FCT-UNL, has been appointed to represent Portugal, between 2014-2017, on the Management Committee of COST Action CM1306 "Understanding movement and mechanism in molecular machines".
Within the scope of the same action, Manuela Pereira from Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica (ITQB) - NOVA was also appointed to represent Portugal on the Management Committee.

Viviana Correia awarded the best poster in the 3rd ENURS & ESRF Day
On April 8th, Viviana Correia was awarded the Prize for Best Poster entitled “Implementation of the Microarray Technology for studying molecular interactions of the bacterial Cellulosome”, in the 3rd ENURS & ESRF Day.
Maria João Ramos awarded a Doctorate Honoris Causa by Stockholm University
Maria João Ramos, professor at the University of Porto, will be awarded next September a Doctorate Honoris Causa by Stockholm University. The scientist is being honoured for her prominent scientific research in the field of computational enzymatic catalysis, computational mutagenesis, molecular docking and drug discovery, all aiming at a better understanding of the functions and applications of enzymes.
